Possessing every trait that a coach desires from a point guard, Tyus Jones is the best all-around signal caller in the nation. While Jones will not wow you with overwhelming athleticism or an absurd vertical, like Emmanuel Mudiay for example, Jones impresses with his feel for the game and ability to command an offense. Jones, a senior at Minnesota’s Apple Valley High School, can facilitate as either a score-first or pass-first guard, depending on how he is being defended by the opposition. Jones is a smart player that rarely makes a bad decision with the ball, and is great at finding teammates for open scores. The 6’1 guard is great at making his teammates better and will excel wherever he chooses to go for college. Jones’ leadership was on display at the AAU Super Showcase, when the senior guard led Howard Pulley to a national championship over the EYBL champs Each 1 Teach 1.
